This joint BBYC/RNZYS organised regatta is one of the great 2022 highlights and offers Aucklanders a premier keelboat regatta with exceptional and varied on-water action combined with fun off-water events and social activities that you won’t want to miss.

The organisers have introduced more variety with two decent windward leewards in the morning to kick things off then a harbour race around the cans and islands in the afternoon.

This entire event is also different in 2022 becoming the “PHRF Nationals”

Not to be outdone we decided to flip the script and make an “Y88HRF event”. We should be able to use the ever awesome “RaceTrack” as the source of the handicaps.  This gives any 88 a chance to get out there and beat their 'personal best" rather than the "rock stars". Line prizes will also be awarded but secondary to handicap results.

We will also reapply the amendment used at the Owners champs allowing boats to sail either "Max crew number 7" or "Max crew weight 616kgs declared with no limit on numbers". This gives light weight crews the opportunity to add extras (often youth or women's crews) to get closer overall to a boat with 7 "heavies" aboard.
