This will be an awesome one day regatta hosted by the experienced race management team at Ponsonby Cruising Club. It is the height of summer and Auckland sea breezes.  It is also great practice for the Nationals in March.

First on line will win the magnificent and recently rediscovered Kava Bowl trophy. We will also be awarding the East/West trophies for the combined scores of the top three boats from Eastside vs top three from the West.

Recognition will also be given to the first "mixed crew" (min 2 crew of diffferent gender) and first Corinthian (no pros aboard) 

We are reapplying the amendment allowing boats to sail either "Max crew number 7" or "Max crew weight 616kgs declared with no limit on numbers". This gives light weight crews the opportunity to add extras (often youth or women's crews) to match a boat with 7 "heavies" aboard.

It is also a great opportunity to get your kids out or invite some keen young dinghy sailors aboard to experience a "big boat" regatta.

Racing will as always be following by a fun gathering and  "Bar karate" back at the club
