What

• Three race days run as part of the BBYC Winter Series
• Two decent sized windward leewards on each day with what is usually a good fleet of at least 8 x 88s
• The aim is to pitch the boats from up the ditch in the West against the boats from up the river in the East. Bring on the SMAK talk!
• Trophie are for top combined scores of the top 3 Westies vs top 3 Easties, line and handicap.
• Don't like spinnakers? Sail no extras .. you wont be the only one and there is not a lot of speed difference.

Where
These races are sailed on the waters to the West and East of Browns Island, aka the Team NZ "Back Paddock", some of the best sailing "grounds' in Auckland. Click here for approx race area

It is a bit of a trek from Westhaven to the East of Browns (9.9nm) so either take lots of coffee and rum or 1-2 it from Bucklands Beach/Half Moon Bay.
