It was AP over A for the last day of Bay of Islands Sailing Week. The first time in its 20 year history that a day has been lost to too much wind.
Congrats to Jacko Van Deventer and co on Sailor Moon for taking the 88 win ahead of Paul McWilliams on War Machine and new 88 skipper Drew Belk 3rd on line and 1st handicap on Slipstream.
Another great showing from the 88-fleet sailing consistently ahead of our numbers to claim the first three places on handicap in the mixed boat Island Racing C division.

Highlight of the regatta... Big breezes and big waves... And the Club 88 cocktail party of course. Organised and hosted by last year's winners Lyndsay and Rascal Tom's crew Yeahthegirls .
The winning cocktail was War Machine's "Hellfire Missile". A concoction that included tequila and jalapeno with a kick after launch.
Massive thanks to our supporters TR Group for the loan of one of their rental, transport and on site storage furniture trucks. This makes the on site cruising to racing reconfiguration fast and easy.
Also a big vote of thanks to the organisers and volunteers that make it happen. Special shout out for their excellent communication on all the many channels we use these days!
