Hi all,
The rain dance did the trick and the weather looks like it will play ball tomorrow for what is a very competitive fleet and a sign of good things as we build post covid and into the Nationals
A few quick reminders and updates
- The "source of the truth" for, notices, race docs, entrant list, results etc is the Young 88 Event page https://www.young88.org.nz/events/141031/
- An amendment has been posted to clarify re discards
- We encourage all boats to high tail it straight back to BBYC after racing so we can get Prize Giving done promptly with time for a proper dockside debrief, "hand tacking" banter and BS session before hand :) .
- There will be a free BBQ and sponsors product dispensed via Babe's latest bit of race enhancing kit. ........
- We will allow absolute minimum time for boats that have to scarper to Westhaven to still get to BBYC in time
- Space has been set aside in marina on berths 315 and 319, on the West side of most western pier three about halfway along. Can probably get 2 boats in each berth, first backs in the second forward. We can park a couple of boats directly in front of the club beside the RIBs and in front of Ara-Tai but MUST not block the launch Soprano on Pier one.
- Please fly the sponsors battle flags on the way to and from racing to help with promotion.
- This is a one turn penalty event so if you cock it up fix it up.
- If you feel wronged don't whinge in the bar, lodge a protest and we all might learn something
- Lastly a reminder that sailing is not a contact sport so let's be careful out there
See you on the water
Cheers
Mike and Gavin
